Inauguration Ceremony and Dinner for a Charity Organisation

Thanks to KC, I was one of the event's photographer for this Charity's Board of Director inauguration ceremony and dinner...eventhough it was a star studded event, I was so busy that I didn't have a chance to get any autographs...

VIPs included senior government officials, celebrities and the rich and famous but I'm not allowed to show you any the photos taken until the official media materials are released by the Charity....however, I can show you some of the people that are more "well-known" to the general public.

As I've mentioned earlier, this event were attended by many senior government officials, one of them was Mr Shane SOLOMON, CEO of the Hospital Authority, when he was leaving (at least trying to leave), he was surrounded by the media asking about the recent "USB Finger" issue that was the talk of the town and as the "event photographer" I certainly won't miss the moment in photographing him.

But with my limited experiences working with large number of journalists, I was literally shoved around and find it almost impossible to get close to him, however, with much effort (of course using my large body to my advantage) I was still able to get close enough to get the shot below...wow...what an experience!

Elderly Homes Day Trip

Today was some very special day for me...I was a volunteer for a Day Trip for three elderly homes, they were:

愛群理療護理院 , 美景護老院 and 安福護老院

I never went on a day trip in Hong Kong and more importantly, today I went with almost 100 elderly people with their relatives and friends! Eventhough some of these people are somewhat immobile and some even with minor dementia, they were still making their best effort in enjoying every attractions...

After spending couple of hours with them, I've learnt we should try to live life to the fullest and never give up so easily irrespective in how difficult the tasks in front of us were.

As some of these people do not (or cannot) leave the elderly home due to health reasons, they were very happy and excited to see the "outside" world...I think is just like a child going to an amusement park.

This 公公 was taking a rest after walking up the stairs...his smile was so innocent and real...

This couple was married for so long that both of them forgot how long it was...nevertheless they were still holding hands and enjoying their day out...and from their behaviors, it seems like they still love and care for each other just like when they were young....some of us young couples find it very difficult to do...

After taking this photo, I had a brief talk with this 公公, and to my surprise, he is also a professional photographer, and what's more, he just had his own photo exhibition three months ago, I've learnt so much from him and as you can see...photography is not limited by your age!

This 婆婆 was enjoying her day out with a smile... she was waiting for her "buddies" while she was having a rest after a "long" walk...

Inside the Chinese University courtyard...

Don't know why, eventhough I was not paid for today's "job", I think my level of enjoyment and the satisfaction I've got were so much more than working for a "paid" job, maybe because I can see so many happy elderly peoples (you will think they are children just purely judging from their behaviors) taking a day out and enjoying a trip that I think 99% of us will think is boring...

It taught me how to enjoy everything you do regardless how boring it seems and don't take them for granted....and most importantly enjoy and cherish what you have now (health, family, friends, etc...) because eventually, you will loose them no matter what they are.

Alby & Joe

I've known Alby for almost 5 years, eventhough we didn't work closely together we still managed to share many fun and exciting moments with our times in Exonomy and SCB. As I wasn't the "official" photographer of the day but I still managed to invite myself to "help out".

Yes...Mr & Mrs Lee...

The couple stands together, hand in hand listening to the teachings...

"幸福" is written all over Alby's face...

Apart from Alby, her guests were also very happy during the ceremony, maybe they were infected with Alby and Joe's happiness...

Ex-colleagues...I'm sure we will have a chance to work together once more...

Once again, it was a pleasure (of course learnt alot again) working with the "Great" Lawrence Tsang!

Joey Yung - Starlight Concert Part 2

Joey always give me an impression of an ugly duckling, however, having see her performing on stage I feel she is so charismatic and charming that I almost forgot to take photos of her performance...

Lisa & Jorg

Lisa and Jorg was a great pair to work with, not because they are playful, not because they will do whatever pose we wanted them to do, not because they were very relaxed about their wedding, it was because they loved each other so much they prepared to show everyone everywhere, hence our job was to capture these moments as much as we can...

Honestly, I was a bit scared at first because of not knowing whether this couple will be willing to do what we asked them to do...however, after the first couple of minutes, this feeling went away!

They love each other show much that most of the poses you see here are compose/created entirely by themselves!

Hope you'll like our photos!!!
PS: For those who likes to look at EXIF....yes....I was using a Canon 5D that day hehehe.
